Fixed.  Minor bug fixes reported over the last year.  Increased the size of the Xfer files for importing/exporting.

InfoTree32 XT v2.1 Released on 5/16/2001                       

New.  Text Editor Dropdown Lists... By selecting from dropdown lists, the user can quickly set desired font properties ... font, size and color.

New. Associated Documents Dropdown List... As the user positions on notes within the Tree (database outline), all document file associated with the selected note are added to a dropdown list just above the Tree, thus allowing the user quicker access to those document files.

 

InfoTree32 XT v2.0 Released on 11/8/2000                  

New. User Selectable Tree Images... The user can take advantage of a pallet of images to manually apply images to items stored on the database tree. Under the File/Special Database Facilities Menu, there is an option to enable/disable user selectable tree images. New database default to having this facility enabled. For existing databases, the user will have to enable this facility.

New. Text Encryption Facility... The user can decide to enforce note "text" encryption on a database by database basis. Once enabled for a database, Individual notes are encrypted/unencrypted as they are created and/or edited. Please understand that notes with embedded images are not processed by this facility (undesirable time delays result). Under the File/Special Database Facilities Menu, there is an option to enable/disable data encryption. New databases default to having this facility disabled.

Improved. User Definable Fields properly resize... your User Definable Fields now take advantage of the additional screen real estate after resizing.

Fixed. User Definable Fields Search ... Searches involving numeric and date fields now work properly.

 

InfoTree32 XT v1.7 Released on 6/24/2000

New. Record Locking and Notification ... when a user positions on a note, they will be notified if that record is already "locked" by another workgroup member.  Password protection must be implemented on the target database for use of this new facility.

Improved. Slider bar replaced with traditional splitter ... the slider bar has been removed and a more traditional splitter bar facility has been added.

Improved. Tree position remembered... upon database open, you are now positioned on the tree just as it was when the database was closed.

Improved. General startup behavior... we have improved the general startup behavior and improved startup performance.

 

InfoTree32 XT v1.5 Released on 10/26/1999

New. Tab Strip for fast access to your databases ... a tab strip now appears along the lower edge of the screen that provides fast access to your databases.

Improved. Spellcheck toolbar button added... a spellchecker toolbar button has replaced the "Delete" toolbar button above the text editor section of the screen.

Improved. Headers may be suppressed when Printing Notes ... a user preference option is now available so that you can suppress the printing of note headers. You can also now specify a desired number of blank lines between a note heading and the note body for printing.

Improved. Sliderbar warning ... setting the "suppress critical messages" user preference option will now instruct InfoTree32 XT to not display the Sliderbar warning when opening a database that contains User Defined Fields.

InfoTree32 XT v1.4 Released on 7/20/1999

New. Slider bar to change width of Tree/Editor screen sections ... a slider bar runs across the main screen just below the "Tree" and "Text Editor" sections. This functions like any other scroll bar and allows the user to adjust the boundary between the "Tree" and the "Text Editor".    The position of the Slider is remembered on program exit and restored on program startup.

Improved. Visual Basic 6 now used to develop InfoTree32 XT ... Visual Basic 6 is the latest release from Microsoft and moving up to VB 6 ensures that InfoTree32 XT is based on the newest set of tools and control files.

InfoTree32 XT  v1.3 Released on 3/9/1999

New. Using MS Outlook 97/98 for eMail ... Within User Preferences you can indicate that you are using MS Outlook for sending your eMail and InfoTree32 will use the Outlook Object Model to help you create and send your eMail messages. This eliminates some previous problems and increases performance.

New. Database "Tree" Refresh Option ... Within User Preferences you can indicate that you want this menu item added to the Tree Menu. This allows users in a multi-user environment to force their "tree view" of the database to be refreshed.

Improved. Note Rename Invoked Using F2 ... Ctrl+N replaced with F2 to conform to Windows standards.

New. Special Note Importing Facility ... Under the Tree Menu, you will now find an option called "New Note(s) Using Existing .TXT Files".

There are two sub options for this menu Item.

1. Multiple (TXT) Files in Specified Folder

2 Single (TXT) File Containing Multiple Notes

New. Save Notes or Note Tablets to a desired .TXT File ... added to Tree Menu.

InfoTree32 XT v1.1 Released on 7/15/1998

New. Compacting your InfoTree32 XT databases ... Under the File Menu, you will now find a "Compact" option. This will instruct InfoTree32 XT to take advantage of the MS Access DB Engine to reduce the size of your database file as much as possible. InfoTree32 XT will ask your permission to continue with this operation. With your approval, the current database will be closed, then copied to a backup file, then compacted. After the compaction is completed, the database will be opened again and you will be able to continue with your usage. If the compaction fails, the backup file will be used to put you back in operation.

New. Special Note Importing Facility ... Under the Tree Menu, you will now find an option called "New Note(s) Using Existing .TXT Files". This will instruct InfoTree32 XT to process all of the .TXT files in a File Folder of you choice. Each file will be used to create a new note in your database. The file name will be used as the Title of the note and the entire file contents will be placed in the freeform section of the note.

Improved. Converting your old InfoTree32 databases ... The Frequently Asked Questions and the Help File have been improved in this area. More detailed instructions have been made available.

Fixed. Importing .ITD files from InfoTree32 ... Links were lost ... this has been fixed.

Fixed. Importing .ITV files from InfoTree32 ... Users fields were lost, Links were lost and Formatting was lost ... these have been fixed.

 

InfoTree32 XT v1.0 Released on 6/23/1998

This is the initial Product release. InfoTree32 XT is a "superset" of InfoTree32, so you may want to review the Release History for InfoTree32. XT uses Microsoft Access as its database engine and thus you can store notes of 750kb and larger. XT also allows for file imbedding using the Windows' drag and drop facility. You can also paste / insert graphical images within your notes using XT.
