user can decide to enforce note "text" encryption on a database by database
basis. Once enabled for a database, Individual notes are encrypted/unencrypted as they are
created and/or edited. Under the File/User Settings Menu, there is an option
to enable/disable data encryption. New databases default to having this facility disabled.

Within User Preferences you can indicate that you are using MS Outlook for sending your eMail and InfoTree32 will use the Outlook Object Model to help you create and send your eMail messages. This eliminates some previous problems and increases performance. New. Database "Tree" Refresh Option ... Within User Preferences you can indicate that you want this menu item added to the Tree Menu. This allows users in a multi-user environment to force their "tree view" of the database to be refreshed. Improved. Note Rename Invoked Using F2 ... InfoTree32 v3.5.2 Released on 5/27/1998 New. Reviewing Search Results ... After you complete a search of your database, you can use the [F9] and [F8] keys to move to the Next/Prev note within your search results. When the search completes, you are positioned on the first note on the Tree that has met the search criteria. Pressing [F9] will advance you down the Tree to the next note that has also met the search criteria. Likewise, [F8] will move you back up the Tree to the previous note that has met the search criteria. New. Setting Colors for Selected Text ... A new toolbar button has been added that will instruct InfoTree32 to display a "Colors" dialog. This allows you to quickly select the desired color for your highlighted text. There is also a keyboard combination, [Ctrl+w] that will invoke this new "Colors" dialog. New. Indenting paragraphs ... A new toolbar button ahs been added that will instruct InfoTree32 to toggle the selected paragraph between being indented or not indented. Simply position the cursor within the Text Editor to the desired paragraph and then click this toolbar button to indent the paragraph. You can also combine this with a keyboard key to produce Right Side paragraph indentation. Clicking this toolbar button while holding down the [Shift] key produces Right Side indentation. New. HotKeys for User Convenience ... The following HotKeys have been implemented: [ Ctrl+T ] Toggle the Tree View to full screen. [ Ctrl+E ] Toggles the Text Editor View to full screen. A new toolbar button and corresponding menu item are available to help you quickly isolate your ToDo List ... those notes on your tree that have due date values within a user specified horizon. You can just look out "n" days from today or you can look out "n" days from today and include all past items that still have due dates. User preferences are available to set your desired ToDo List horizon. The dropdown list (just above the Text Editor, between the two toolbars) provides a complete look at all of the ToDo notes on the list. New. Use keystrokes to signal the addition of new notes. InfoTree32 now allows you to use the "=" [equal] key to signal the addition of a new note at the same level as the one on which you are currently positioned. The ">" [greater than] key is used to signal the addition of a new note one level below the note on which you are currently positioned. .
v3.5.0 Released by NextWord on 1/15/98 New. Due Date values can now be assigned to notes that represent items that should be completed prior to some desired date. A Tree Menu item has been added that allows you to set the due date for each desired note. The search facility has been expanded so that you can quickly find all the notes with due dates before, after or between desired dates. There is also a File Menu item that allows you to quickly locate all the notes with due dates prior to "tomorrow" ... thus giving you a list of items that need to be complete before the end of the day. NOTE: We are not attempting to move InfoTree32 into the time management or project scheduling areas. We just want to satisfy the requests from many of our users. .
v3.4.1 Released by NextWord on 10/15/97 New. Integration with Microsoft Outlook. InfoTree32 now makes it a snap for you to add an opened Outlook item to your database. Quickly organize incoming email within the Tree Structure of your database. InfoTree32 uses the Automation facilities of Outlook to access the "subject" and "body" of the currently opened Outlook item. After you have positioned yourself on the Tree Structure of your database, simply choose the Tree Menu item "New Note (Using Microsoft Outlook Open Item)" and InfoTree32 will do the rest. A new note is added using the "subject" of the Outlook item as the Note Title. Then the "body" of the Outlook item is placed within InfoTree32's Text Editor and saved. Other properties of the Outlook item (i.e. who sent the item and when it was received) are also placed within the text of the new note. New. Save on demand. Many of you have been asking for this and now you can enjoy its use. When you work on a note's text for a while and you want to be sure your changes are saved (without having to leave the note ... remember that your changes are saved automatically when you leave a note) you can simply issue the key combination [ Ctrl S ] or use the Editor Menu option "Save Your Edits Immediately". New. Turn off confirmation messages. Users you are comfortable with performing drag and drop moves and note copy/paste operations will enjoy this new feature. Under the "Advanced" options of User Preferences, you will find a check box that allows you to instruct InfoTree32 to suppress these messages. Improved. Text Editor Menu. Items within the Text Editor menu have been rearranged for better access. This also helps the user of the right mouse click to perform actions such as "Return to Default Font" ... also now accessible using the key combination [ Ctrl R ], "Copy Selection", "Cut Selection", "Paste" and "Delete Selection" Improved. Access to the Bulleted Text facility. The key combination [ Ctrl L ] now invokes the Bulleted Text facility. Simply highlight the desired text and enter the key combination [ Ctrl L ]. Improved. Now the results of your search can be easily be copied to a new location within your database. These exported results could also be shared with others and imported into their database. Improved.
